Because of COVID-19, Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris Postponed Until July 2020!

Bandai Namco is never tired of releasing various popular anime series, one of which is Sword Art Online. It was first announced a few months ago, and showed its form at the 2019 TGS event yesterday. Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris is rumored to be released on May 22.

However, for those of you who have at least been preparing to wait for the release to be disappointed. Bandai Namco announced that Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris will be released on July 10 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The reason for the delay is because the COVID-19 pandemic affected the game development process.

Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris has an RPG concept where players can face various bosses and various missions. Not only alone, but also can invite a party with two other people. To maintain the strong drama elements of the Alicization arc, this game makes "Lycoris" or the name of a flower species in Japan the concept. The flower is described as a symbol of enthusiasm, sad memories, reunions, and also someone's independence. Some of these themes will be the main foundation for the game storyline.
